100 Versus Movies That Are Crying Out To Be Made

Can't believe these haven't already happened

Can you believe that it’s The Year of Our Lord 2025 and the only serious attempts at film franchise crossovers so far have been Alien Vs Predator, Freddie Vs Jason, and King Kong Vs Godzilla? Oh, sure, you can throw in Abbott and Costello meeting various Universal monsters if you like, and I suppose you can sort of count Batman Vs Superman, but really, do you? And sure, Kramer Vs Kramer was a fascinating experiment with having Charlie Kaufman write a Seinfeld spin-off.

But still, over the 120-odd years of cinematic entertainments, the field of “Versus” movies is ridiculously barren. When you look at the rich variety of great characters that have been created over the history of film, we should be knee-deep in pictures about those characters fighting each other in various ways.
